Training of trainer on green growth

The activity is the next step of the service package of training materials and handbook on Green Growth (GG) initiated in 2018. The purpose of this training of trainers is to equip union officials with basic GG implementation knowledge so that they can guide enterprises’ workforce in practices.

The activity is part of the project “Supporting training and consultancy on Green Growth for enterprises” implemented by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Vietnam in coordination with Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.

Activity in 2019

VNCPC in collaboration with SCPRC finalized 2 requested documents including:

• GG Training manuals for the project’s target group of union officials: The training materials serve as a reference for them in their future GG presentations at in factories.
• GG Handbook for awareness-raising: The handbook provides workers with specific guides that can be applied at the workplace, as well as at home to improve the environment, save costs and increase health protection for themselves and the community.

4-days training of trainer was fulfilled in April 2019 in Dong Thap. Trainees are union officials from Labor Confederation of 9 target provinces (Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Long An, Tien Giang, Dong Thap and Ba Ria – Vung Tau). Training contents that incorporate practical examples and demonstrative video clips were compiled by VNCPC and SCPRC for classroom training in combination with field visits to help union officials understand the insights of GG knowledge in developed training manual so that they can deliver GG instructions directly in enterprises in coming time.
