A machinery manufacturer for the textile and leather industries saves nearly 251,000 kWh of electricity per year
An enterprise located in Dong Nai province’s Amata Industrial Park received RECP assessment consultancy from VNCPC, which helped identify several energy-saving opportunities.
The solutions focused on practical actions, such as repairing compressed air leaks, cleaning air compressor filters, optimizing ventilation in the compressor room, and improving lighting and air-conditioning systems.
Of the proposed solutions, six were implemented, helping the enterprise save approximately 251,000 kWh of electricity annually, equivalent to 202 tCO₂/year, and approximately VND 502 million/year in production costs.
The results showed that targeted operational improvements can improve energy efficiency without high upfront costs.
A manufacturing enterprise in Bac Ninh received energy assessment support from VNCPC to identify major energy-consuming areas and improvement opportunities appropriate to its actual operating conditions.
The solutions focused on optimizing transformer operation, repairing compressed air leaks and adjusting pressure settings, installing variable frequency drives, improving thermal insulation, and optimizing boiler operation. The total estimated saving potential is approximately 94,000 kWh of electricity and nearly 2 tonnes of wood pellets per year, equivalent to VND 191 million per year and a reduction of approximately 71 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
Additionally, the enterprise identified strong potential for rooftop solar power, which could generate about 530,000 kWh of clean energy and reduce carbon emissions by 383 tonnes each year.
