(VNCPC) and Viet Hien Coffee Mechanical \u2013 Electrical Company organized a field visit to Small-scale Pyrolysis System (PPV 300), in Dak Lak province.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is an activity within the framework of the project \u201cPromoting a small-scale pyrolysis system business model in Vietnam (Pyrolysis Vietnam, 7\/2020 \u2013 6\/2022)\u201d, under the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEPP), funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), through the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">VNCPC is a unit implementing domestic activities with the technical assistance of the project partners, including: Viet Hien Coffee Mechanical \u2013 Electrical Company, Sofies SA Consulting Company (Switzerland), Oekozentrum Foundation (Switzerland) and Husk Ventures SL (Spain).<\/p>\n<p><img data-dominant-color=\"797470\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #797470;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13192 size-portfolio aligncenter not-transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/vncpc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/PPV300-in-VH-workshop-1-495x400.webp\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vncpc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/PPV300-in-VH-workshop-1-495x400.webp 495w, https:\/\/vncpc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/PPV300-in-VH-workshop-1-845x684.webp 845w\" alt=\"\" width=\"495\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Representative of Viet Hien Coffee Mechanical \u2013 Electrical Mechanical Company introduces the PPV300 pyrolysis system<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pyrolysis technology from Switzerland has been successfully transferred by UNIDO to Viet Hien Company, with the potential to convert agricultural waste (rice husks, coffee hulls) into thermal energy and biochar. This is identified as a solution to help improve the quality of agricultural products and improve soil fertility, while minimizing CO2 emissions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project is implemented to promote commercialization of pyrolysis technology in Vietnam through three specific components: (i) Awareness raising and \u201cGreen technology\u201d ecognition of pyrolysis technology; (ii) Development of feasibility studies and business cases and (iii) Promotion of the biochar market.<\/p>\n<p><img data-dominant-color=\"696f5b\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #696f5b;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13194 size-portfolio aligncenter not-transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/vncpc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/coffee-farm-1-495x400.webp\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vncpc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/coffee-farm-1-495x400.webp 495w, https:\/\/vncpc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/coffee-farm-1-845x684.webp 845w\" alt=\"\" width=\"495\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Visit the coffee growing area<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Attending this visit, Ms. Do Thi Dung \u2013 Representative of International Assistance Program (ISG) of International Cooperation Department \u2013 Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development had the opportunity to meet, survey and collecting opinions and information on pyrolysis technology from the local producer Viet Hien company and its users.
